Day Four

Friday 21 November starts with the boys touring Ibrox, followed by some lunch on

the way to Murray Park.  The news was out that the Rangers were definitely not going

to lose this game.  They had pulled out all stops.  They had asked for an extra day so

that two players from the international squad could recover from the game they had

played on Wednesday 19 November.  Seven of the other players were signed players

and two of them were already playing professional football with Rangers.  What a

compliment to MFS.

The game kicked off on time at 1.00 p.m. and the first 15 or so minutes were a solid

tug of war with neither side having any real scoring opportunity.  Unfortunately at the

17 minute mark the Rangers scored their first goal.  Two more Rangers goals saw

MFS trailing 3-0 at half time. Despite some promising goal opportunities in the

second half  MFS failed to score, however Rangers scored two more goals to record a

5-0 win.  The boys lost the game, however their spirit was not defeated and they look

forward to their next game against the U17 Scotland Youth team on Sunday 22

November 2009.

Rangers 5 vs MFS 0

Update from Steven Adam:

I have attached an article taken from the Rangers website. They really wanted to win!
