Day three
Departing on flight EK427 at 10.30p.p. on Tuesday 17 November 2009 the MFS boys
eagerly voyaged to Glasgow via Dubai. Arriving in Glasgow 24 hours later the boys
boarded their tour bus and headed for their accommodation in the centre of the
Glasgow. A quick bite and off to the Toryglen Regional Football Centre near the
famous Hampden park ground for a training session. This impressive facility boasts a
6500m2 indoor artificial pitch and three additional outdoor pitches. A quick session
with the head coach, dinner at the Jury’s Inn restaurant and an early night.
It’s the next morning – Thursday 20 November and the boys are up and organised
early. Straight back to the Toryglen Centre for a session with the Ranger’s Greg Statt
(overseas development coach) and John Joyce as well as Stevie Adams, from
Hibernians. After a relaxing afternoon of leisure, the boys retired early, pumped for
the much anticipated clash with the Rangers the next day. A group of professionals
through and through. Good luck for tomorrow boys!.. Go MFS!
